How to Wash Eyelash Extensions?

After getting eyelash extensions, you will need to maintain them to ensure they last as long as possible. One form of maintenance is to gently wash eyelash extensions daily.

In this short article, we'll discuss the steps you need to follow to wash your eyelash extensions.

NOTE: Do not get your eyelashes wet for the first 6 hours after the procedure. 24 hours is best. You need at least 24 hours for the adhesive to cure to ensure the extensions stay on your eyelashes longer.

  1. Remove face makeup with care using an oil-free remover, avoiding the eyes.
  2. Wet your eyes with cool water. Do not rub your eyes at any time.
  3. Apply professionally recommended lash shampoo with clean fingers or a lash brush using a gentle sweeping motion starting from the crease of your eyelid to the ends of your lashes. Rinse off and gently dab the eyelashes dry or use a handheld fan.
  4. Use a lash wand, or Spoolie, to carefully straighten and separate the lashes and remove any excess water.

You should gently wash your eyelashes daily to prevent the accumulation of dirt, oil, makeup residue, and dead skin cells from affecting the extensions.

Taking proper care of your lashes will often increase the time they last.
